How does MD TLC™ treat sun damage?

Brown and red discolorations (complexion irregularities, also known as skin tone) typically occur as a result of overexposure to sunlight. Light skinned patients typically experience sun damage and broken red blood vessels. Dark-skinned patients tend to get a blotchy complexion called hyperpigmentation.

The typical solution would involve various laser treatments. At MD TLC™, we have over 7 cutting-edge laser technologies that are safe and can optimally treat YOUR skin type.

Why does sun damage occur?

Sun damage happens when our skin is exposed to too many harmful UV rays. These rays come in two primary categories, UVA and UVB. UVA rays have long wavelengths and penetrate deep into the dermis, the skin’s thickest layer. UVB rays are shorter in length but can still cause major damage. Together, these rays can cause dark blotches on our skin and even lead to serious complications like skin cancer.
