Radiesse

Radiesse

What is Radiesse?

Radiesse is a dermal filler that restores fullness helping you to achieve a more youthful appearance.* This FDA-approved filler is used primarily to treat areas with obvious signs of facial aging. The unique gel formula contains microspheres of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA), a natural occurring component found in your body. The microspheres immediately add volume to your skin, smoothing wrinkles while they continue to stimulate your body’s own collagen production, helping to revive and refresh your features in a natural way.*

Why Radiesse?

Radiesse works with your body, below your skin’s surface. Often referred to by physicians as a ‘foundation filler’, Radiesse is designed and best suited to restore volume and decrease the signs of aging.*

As a versatile filler, it can be used for soft tissue augmentation and bony augmentation, meaning it can be injected deeper into your skin and closer to bone structure, giving a natural lift to your face or to restore volume loss in the backs your hands.*

Dr. Quibell will often “tint” another hyaluronic acid filler such as Restylane with a small amount (0.1cc) of Radiesse to give a brightening effect under the eye or in areas of thin skin.*

The results from Radiesse may last up to a year or longer. By having a touch-up treatment, results may be extended 18 months to 2 years.*

What are the Treatments Like?

Radiesse is a FDA approved dermal filler that has undergone rigorous safety testing. A topical or local anesthetic may be used during your Radiesse injection to ensure comfort during the treatment. Radiesse is injected with a needle beneath the skin, guided by the skilled hand of Dr. Quibbel. She may offer patient-controlled PRO-NOX or apply a topical anesthetic to minimize discomfort during the session. There may also be some mild swelling or redness near the injection site for the first few days following treatment, however, most patients can resume normal activity 24 hours following the procedure.*

If you are ready to regain a look that is as lively and youthful as you feel, schedule your MD TLC™ consult today.

Where can Radiesse be used?

For facial contouring, Radiesse may be injected into targeted areas of your face that have developed moderate to deep facial creases and wrinkles, including:

  • Nasolabial folds – Also known as ‘Smile Lines’, these are the creases that exist between the upper outside edges of your nostrils and the corners of your mouth
  • Chin Wrinkles – Horizontal lines that develop on the chin between the bottom of your lip and chin
  • Marionette Lines – Named for the resemblance to the lines on puppets that extend from the corners of the mouth to the bottom of the jaw
  • Cheek / Malar area
  • Jawline

Hand Rejuvenation

Radiesse offers great results for addressing aging hands. Dr. Quibell often uses multiple devices, injectables and treatments when looking to refresh the appearance of your hands.

before and after Radiesse treatments

At MD TLC™, Dr. Quibell takes into consideration the “3T’s” when deciding on a custom treatment plan for your aging hands.

Tone – Do your hands have age spots? Could you benefit from improved skin tone and color?

Texture – How is the appearance of your hands? Is there a crepey texture to your skin that could be addressed?

Tightness – Is there laxity to the skin due to volume loss? Are veins and tendons prominently displayed on the backs of your hands?

During your consultation at MD TLC™ with Dr. Quibell, your cosmetic goals and medical history will be discussed to determine if Radiesse is right for you.
